• Hugo, a canon of Saint Donatian's Collegiate Church, donated this manuscript in the 12th century to Ter Doest Abbey. The manuscript is a composite manuscript that contains two Bible texts with the Glossa ordinaria. The illumination is similar in both books. The document contains copies of the Gospel of Lucas and the Acts of the Apostles. The Glossa Ordinaria mainly consist of quotes from Church Fathers and early medieval authors: Jerome, Augustine, Bede, Gregory the Great and Origen. The pastedowns contain fragments of land taxes from Saint Donatian's (c. 1120-1130). It lists several contemporaries of Charles the Good: Haket, Labred de Rodanburg, Basilius notarius, Bertulfus son of Froolfus, Eremboldus, Fromoldus junior. The manuscript's page layout follows the typical one for bible glosses. The text is in the center, written in large protogothic script. The glosses are written between the lines of the text and around the text in smaller script. Each new gloss is introduced by a paragraph initial. The initial indicating the start of the Acts is thrice the size of the other initials in the manuscript. Like the other initials in the text, it is executed mainly in red pigment, with green and yellow details. The manuscript has an early Cistercian binding (12th - 13th century).
