Manuscript 183 contains a twelfth century copy (c. 1175-1200) of IV Libri Sententiarum - Sentences - by Peter Lombard (c. 1095 - c.1160). Peter Lombard summarizes the Christian doctrine of the faith. He uses sources such as the Bible, methodology by contemporaries and works by fathers of the church for his work. The manuscript was in possession of Ten Duinen Abbey. The monks made annotations in the margins of book IV. The text is written in a textualis currens and a textualis libraria. Initials in the text were raised with a green and a red pen on a blue background; a drawing in brown with gold covering can be found on Folio 125v. [Summary by Sarah Vanroye]

Inc. prol. (f. 1r): 'Prologus sequentis operis. Cvpientes aliquid de penvria ac tenvitate nostra cum pauperculam'; inc. (f. 2r): 'Ueteris ac nove legis continentiam diligenti indagine'; expl. (f. 104v): 'per media ad pedes usque u[ia] duce peruenit'
Tussen ff. 68-69 ontbreekt een folio; ff. 64-68 zijn zwaar beschadigd met een scherp voorwerp, zonder tekstverlies

F. 105r-v (oorspronkelijk schutblad) en achterste dekblad bevatten een anonieme lofzang op Lombardus en een korte samenvatting van de Sententiae
