• Manuscript 20 is a composite manuscript, containing three texts: (ff. 1r-155v) Tractatus super Leviticum pars secunda; (ff. 155v-158r) De amore et odio carnis; and (ff. 158v-159v) Nomina Romanorum Pontificum. The author of the first two works is Raoul of Flaix (Radulfus Flaviacensis), a mid-twelfth-century Benedictine monk. Both this second part and the first part of the Tractatus super Leviticus, a commentary on one of the books of the Pentateuch, exist also in copies found in the Ten Duinen library. The second text in the volume, De amore et odio carnis, also by Raoul of Flaix, is a small treatise. The copy in this volume is a unique copy and has been edited by De Poorter from this manuscript. The third text is a list of the first 189 Roman pontiffs. The manuscript is dated to the thirteenth century, while the appearance of Alexander IV (r. 1254-1261) at the end of the list of popes might suggest a date sometime after the latter date. The text of the manuscript, probably written in the scriptoria of either Ter Doest or Ten Duinen, is organized in two columns; rubrics are being used for headers, numerals and other reading aides. The manuscript contains an ownership inscription of Ter Doest that has been extended to include a book curse. It is bound in a seventeenth-century binding of the 'Campmans' type.
