    • Barthélémy de Joux, évêque de Laon, donna en 1121 à saint Norbert (v.1080-1134) le lieu-dit Prémontré, pour qu'il y fonde avec une première abbaye son nouvel ordre de chanoines réguliers sous la règle de saint Augustin. Première bulle de confirmation en 1124. Honorius II approuva la fondation en 1126. Le premier abbé, Hugues de Fosses, fut élu en 1128. - L'abbaye fut vendue comme bien national en 1791. Les bâtiments appartiennent depuis 1862 au département de l'Aisne et abritent un hôpital psychiatrique (Source : BnF)
