    • Une des quatre premières abbayes de Prémontrés fondée en 1124 par l'évêque Barthélémy de Vir et saint Norbert. De 1256 à 1263, 3 bulles pontificales confirmèrent les privilèges de l'abbaye. Il y restait 20 religieux en 1768. Elle fut fermée à la Révolution. - L'abbatiale, commencée en 1150 et restée presque intacte devint église paroissiale. Les bâtiments conventuels furent occupés par un hôpital, et depuis 1980 par la bibliothèque municipale (Source : BnF)
