Les deux volumes ne sont pas de la même main. Le premier vient (fol. 1) « du tresor du Boisrogues » ; le second (fol. 59 v°) fut donné à Gaignières « par l'abé (sic) de Castres, le 21 octobre 1709. » A la fin de ce dernier se trouve la devise de Crétin : « Mieux que pis. »
