Cet ancien prieuré de Nouaillé fut fondé en 1025 et placé sous le double patronage de Notre-Dame et de saint Junien. Il fut partiellement détruit en 1574[*].

Lieu de conservation - Pierre tombale en dos d'âne, placée dans l'église, du côté nord.

Commentaire historique et datation - Cette pierre qui a dû séjourner longtemps à l'extérieur de l'édifice est devenue à peu près illisible. Les archéologues l'attribuent au début du XIIIe s.
