  • Origin: According to Gumbert (2009), the manuscript was written in Italy, but Vecce (1990) makes it plausible that the manuscript was written in France. At least it was written on French paper, the watermarks are typically French.
  • Textual: This text is also known in a second redaction (ca. 1550), made for the printed version. Its title was then changed into Pro Gallis apologia.
  • Also described by MMDC.
