Le manuscrit, produit dans un scriptorium de la France du Nord, a fait partie de la bibliothèque de l’abbaye Saint-Pierre de Corbie (cf. d'E. Coyecque, Catalogue des manuscrits des bibliothèques de France, XIX, p. XI-XLVIII, XIIe s. : n°166, 180 ; XIIIe s. : n° 92). En 1638 il a été porté à abbaye de Saint-Germain-des-Prés avec d’autres volumes de Corbie.Il entra à la Bibliothèque Nationale avec d’autres manuscrits de Saint-Germain, entre décembre 1795 et février 1796.
