  • Manuscript 529, dating from the thirteenth century, contains Elements by Euclid (3rd century B.C.). It was owned by Ten Duinen Abbey. Elements is a mathematical treatise, used as a foundation for the study of mathematics. Manuscript 529 contains a Latin translation of Elements by Adelard of Bath (c. 1090 - c. 1160). The translation was based on the Arabic version of the text by Al-Hajjaj (c. 786-833), with additions by Ishaq ibn Hunayn (d. 910) and Thabit ibn Qurra (d. 901). [Summary by Sarah Vanroye]
