Ce ms. a été copié par deux mains entre 1184, date à laquelle s’interrompt la chronique de Guillaume de Tyr, et 1207, date de la mort du donateur Ansellus.
Collège de Navarre . Le ms. a été donné à l’ abbaye de Barbeaux , en Seine-et-Marne, par Ansellus , évêque de Meaux de 1197 à 1207 : « Librum istum dedit ecclesie Sancti Portus pie memorie dominus Ansellus, Meldensis episcopus. Anima eius et anime patris et matris eius requiescant in pace. Amen. » (XIIIe s., f. 272v)
