    • Binding: Medieval binding, not contemporary (15th century). - Leather (brown, blind-tooled, worn) over wooden boards. One eye-and-pin fastening (long-strap, renewed, closing on back board face; eye attachment renewed). Traces of three metal bosses and chain attachment (front board). Fenestra with contents: "Tractatus qui dicitur scalprum ..." (back board) . - Bookblock resewn, spine renewed. - Not made in Egmond, according to Gumbert 2009.

  • Contained maculature: two 14th-century flyleaves (fragments of Remigius of Auxerre's commentary on Donatus' Ars minor), now kept in restoration folder.
  • Textual: (ff. 1r-36r) Compilation of excerpts from Priscian's Institutiones grammatica and from Eutyches' Ars de verbo. Contains verses in the margin, added by a later hand, the author of some of which is called "Matthaeus cancellarius". - (ff. 36r-37v) Contains some loose remarks on grammar. - (ff. 37v-39r) Book I of De temporibus. - (ff. 39r-40v) Text was added later (13th century?). Incipit: "Oculorum pruriginem et dolorem...". - (ff. 41r-123v) Incipit: "Cum opificen [sic] triplicem...".
