• Material: Paper (used in octavo) from the 1550s; compare two watermarks in pages 63-70 with Piccard 30874, 30875 and with Briquet 9613. - Ink corrosion in the first part; top of pages 51-54 missing
• Origin: Based on the language (eastern forms of Middle Dutch) and the 16th century owner inscription (p. 212).
• Pagination: In pencil: 1-256, 261-324. Text loss: damaged leaves: pp. 51/52, 53/54; missing leaves between pp. 255/256 and 261/262.

• Rubrication: Capitals tipped with red paint; headings and underlining in red; paragraph marks alternately in blue and red

• Textual: The texts address a female user, in view of the mention of "dienstmaegt" (pp. 171, 181, 291) "sondersse" (p. 231), "sondaers" (p. 252). - (p. 145) Rubric: "Hier beghint eynen devoeten psalm of ghebet des heylighen bisschops Johannes Rossensis om te vercrijgen vergiffenisse der sonden". Incipit: "O heerschappende heer almoghende groete ende onsichbaerlicke god Die hemel ende aerde ende die zee met al datter in is doer uwe woert gheschapen hebt ... ". - This psalm and five others, covering pp. 145-211, are translations from: Psalmi seu precationes by John Fisher (1469-1535). Fisher, since 1504 bishop of Rochester, was executed by Henry VIII for refusing to accept the king as supreme head of the Church of England and for upholding papal supremacy. His anthology was printed anonymously abroad in several editions from about 1525 (Williams 1980).
