Cet ordre liturgique à l'usage de Saint-Pierre de Cluny a été rédigé par les soins de Raimond de Cadoëne, abbé de Cluny de 1400 à 1416, d'après le titre rubriqué au f. 7, à la suite du calendrier: "Istud breviarium fecit fieri reverendus in Christo pater dominus Raymondus de Cadoena, abbas Cluniacensis, in eodem monasterio, ad usum dicti monasterii". On a ajouté à ce ms. un calendrier des obits du collège de Cluny à Paris, d'après la mention du f. 138: "Sequuntur iuramenta per scolares in collegio Cluniacensi, Parisius fundato, noviter recipiendos fieri solita", l'ordonnance de frère Arnoul, prieur de la maison de Cluny à Paris, au f. 138v et les différentes additions du calendrier (ff. 1-6v). Le ms. a ensuite appartenu au prieuré clunisien de Saint-Martin-des-Champs (Paris), dont l'ex-libris "S. Martini a Campis" est inscrit au f. 1 (XVIIe-XVIIIe s.); cf. aussi reliure.
