  • Manuscript 277 is a composite manuscript, consisting of six - mostly unnamed - texts: (ff. 2r-129v) a collection of 79 sermons by Peter Damian (d. 1072/3) and Nicolas of Clairvaux (d. 1176/8), a secretary of Bernard of Clairvaux; (ff. 129v) extracts from several authors, including the Fathers; (ff. 130r-147v) the anonymous Tractatus de tabernaculo Moysi, in some other copies attributed to a 'magister Hugo'; (ff. 147v-148v) a text on the different lectures of the liturgical year; (ff. 148v) a text on the ceremonies during the Holy Week; and (ff. 150r-153v) two sermons. The manuscript was copied in the scriptorium of Ten Duinen, during the first quarter of the thirteenth century. The text is written in two columns, with initials and rubrics in red ink. The first leaf contains an index, based on the Ten Duinen foliation. Several leaves are missing after fol. 129. [Summary by Dr. Mark Vermeer]
