Le manuscrit, copié pour une église d’Amiens, a appartenu à l’abbaye de Saint-Corneille de Compiègne (cf. au f. 1r l’ex-libris « S. Cornelii Compend. Congr. S. Mauri » et la cote ancienne « Compiègne 24 »). Le volume est entré dans la Bibliothèque Royale sous le règne de Louis Philippe (1830-1848) et ensuite a fait partie de la sixième série des manuscrits latins, cotés 16719-18613, constitué en 1868 (entre autres, lot de 132 manuscrits latins provenant de Compiègne ; cf. Delisle, Cabinet des manuscrits, II, 327).
Ms. restauré en 2017 grâce au mécénat de la Fondation Polonsky (dossier BnF 2017-094684-01).
