Ce manuscrit a appartenu à Antoine Loisel (1536-1617) (signature au f. 2r), avocat et grand-père de Claude Joly (1607-1700), chantre de Notre-Dame qui légua les manuscrits dont il avait hérité de son grand-père au chapitre de Notre-Dame de Paris en 1680 (cf. au f. 1v l’ex-libris « A la bibliotheque de l’Eglise de Paris » et la cote « M12 », du XVIIe siècle ; cf. également la cote de Notre-Dame au f. 2r (« Notre-Dame 187 »). Les chanoines de Notre Dame cédèrent leurs manuscrits au roi le 24 avril 1756, dont le présent volume, qui entra ainsi à la Bibliothèque royale.
