  • Illumination: At the beginning of the Hours large initials, raised in gold and with painted border, partly floral motifs, partly historiated: Virgin with Child (1r), Man of Sorrows (76v), Holy Face of Jesus (102r); simple penwork on f. 191r. Initials alternating in red and blue; at the canonical hours sometimes painted initials, gold-framed and with border decoration.
  • Two leaves missing after f. 167. Several leaves in disorder (ff. 9r/10v and 85v/86v) possibly with loss of text; some leaves cropped.
  • Also described by BNM, MMDC and A.W. Byvanckgenootschap (database RKD, The Hague).
  • Bought at the auction held by Sotheby's, London, in 1984 (cat. nr. 58).
