Manuscript 70 is divided in three parts and contains glosses on the Gospels of Lucas and John, and Apocalypse. The glosses were written by Peter Comestor (c. 1100 - 1179). The manuscript was owned by Ter Doest Abbey. Folio's 1r to 191 date back to c. 1230-1250, Folio's 192-281 date to the thirteenth and fourteenth century. The Gospel text is written in the middle of the page, in a larger script with decorated initials. The glosses are written around the Gospel text in a smaller script. The manuscript contains some ornamental initials in red and blue, decorated with leaves in green and yellow. [Summary by Sarah Vanroye]
