  • Manuscript 145, dating from the twelfth century, contains the Book of Pastoral Rule by Pope Gregory I (c. 540 - 604). It was owned by Ter Doest Abbey. The book is a treatise on pastoral care for priests. It was also used by abbots as a manual for pastoral care. The manuscript contains some decoration: several ornamental initials in red and green. The initials on Folio's 4r and 13v are decorated with stylized foliage and animals figures (dogs). Initial P on Folio 4r is the largest initial in the manuscript, travelling down half the page.
