Origine: italienne, écriture humanistique cursive. D’après A. Marucchi, op. cit. infra, le manuscrit reproduit la seconde moitié du ms. Roma, Bibl. Angel. 1097; au f. 358v°, note autographe de Giovanni Andrea Bussi: «Ad aeternitatis memoriam difficillima Plynii absoluta recognitio est die VIII aprilis 1470 Romae auxilio Thedori [sic] Gazȩ philosophi Graeci a Io‹hanno› An‹drea› Ep‹isco›o Alerien‹si› [deux mots raturés] dictus in secula. Amen»; de nombreuses indications montrent que ce manuscrit a servi à l’édition de Sweynheim et Pannartz de 1470 (cf. G. Lombardi, op. cit. infra).
Possesseurs: probablement Giovanni Andrea Bussi (cf. supra, Origine, puis la basilique conventuelle franciscaine des Saints-Apôtres de Rome, dont l’ex-libris du XVIe s. est au bas du f. 1: «Ex conuentu SS. Apostolorum Vrbis »; le manuscrit est entré à la Bibliothèque Vaticane entre 1605 et 1623.
