Le manuscrit a appartenu au XVIIe siècle à la bibliothèque de l’abbaye de Saint-Germain-des-Prés (cf. au f. 84r l’ex-libris « Liber sancti Germani de Pratis », du XVe siècle ; cf. également au f. 1r l’ex-libris, « Sancti Germanis a Pratis » et les cotes anciennes « olim 302 » et « N. 781 »). Le volume entra à la Bibliothèque Nationale entre décembre 1795 et février 1796 avec d’autres manuscrits provenant de Saint-Germain-des-Prés.
