  • Manuscript 193 holds seven texts, generally divisible in two parts. The first part (ff. 1r-92r) contains the Disputationes by Simon of Tournai (d. 1201). The second part are five texts by Alain de Lille (1128-1202/3), a twelfth-century Parisian theologian: (ff. 92r-v) Sermo de Spiritu Sancto; (ff. 92v-94v) Sermo de sancta cruce; (ff. 94v-134v) Ars praedicandi; (ff. 134v-135v) Sermo de sancto Nicholao; and (ff. 135v-147v) Liber sententiarum ac dictorum memorabilium. Finally, the last leaves (ff. 147v-152v) contain an anonymous commentary on the Song of Songs, In Canticum canticorum. The manuscript has been produced in the thirteenth century, probably in the scriptorium of either Ten Duinen or Ter Doest. The text is written in two columns and contain initials in red ink. The manuscript contains an ownership inscription of Ter Doest that has been extended to include a book curse. It is bound in an early Cistercian binding from the thirteenth century.
