Le ms. renferme des signatures des cahiers et des notas à la mine de plomb dans les marges caractéristiques de Châalis. Les notas se retrouvent notamment dans les mss. châalisiens latins 16732 à 16737.
Le ms. provient de l'abbaye cistercienne Notre-Dame de Châalis (Oise), selon A. Bondéelle. Il a ensuite appartenu au prieuré de Saint-Martin-des-Champs (Paris) qui récupéra au début du XVIIe s. de nombreux débris de la bibliothèque de Châalis.
