  • Textual: (ff. 1r-10r) Pseudo-correspondence concerning Alexanders travels and the situation of India. - (ff. 11r-24v) Translation from the Greek by Julius Valerius. - (ff. 25r-66v) Aethicus Ister is probably a fictitious traveller/author. In the text, (a Pseudo-) Jerome claims to be the translator of Ister's work. It is currently thought that Virgil of Salzburg is the true author of the text.
