Manuscript 239 contains part of Pantheologia, a theological dictionary by Saint Rainerius (c. 1348/51). The dictionary is made up of terms from the Thomistic Philosophy, in alphabetical order. Manuscript 239 contains letters E to O. The work was copied by Willelmus de Predio with the help of Per(egrinus) of Leyns, who also helped with the table of contents, introductions and indices. Leyns copied the first sextern of manuscript 239, which was added in later. This first part contains distinctiones for the letters E to O. Predio copied the rest of the text which contains the letters followed by an overview of cited authorities. Willelmus worked on it from 1457 to 1459, as evidenced by the dated markings in the text (Folio 400r). The manuscript was sold to the Henricus Keddekin, the abbot of Ter Doest Abbey, in 1482. The document contains decorated initials. Each new book starts with a large initial with decorations around its borders. [Summary by Sarah Vanroye]
