Sur l'auteur, Muḥammad ibn Šarīf ibn Yūsuf al-Zarʿī al-Miṣrī Šaraf al-Dīn ibn al-Waḥīd (1249 ou 1250-1311), voir Ibn Ḫağar al-ʿAsqalānī, al-Durar al-kāmina, ed. Muḥammad Sayyid Ǧād al-ḥaqq, Le Caire, 1966, vol. IV, p. 73-75, n° 3740. GAL, Suppl. II, p. 2, qui ne mentionne pas cet ouvrage, donne le laqab Šams al-Dīn, mais d'après al-Durar al-kāmina, le personnage m. en 1311 et auteur de Sard al-lām est bien Šaraf al-Dīn ibn al-Waḥīd.
