    • Libraire. - Établi libraire à Potsdam. En 1748 il épouse la fille du libraire Johann Andreas Rüdiger dont il devient l'associé. Il ouvre alors une librairie à Berlin, mais avec l'obligation imposée par le roi de maintenir celle de Potsdam. Prend la direction de la "Berlinische Zeitung" qui devient "Staats- und gelehrte Zeitung" (Source : BnF)
    • D'abord associé à Johann Andreas et à Johann Adam Rüdiger, puis, de 1758 à 1769, à Johann Heinrich Rüdiger. À partir de 1779, travaille en association avec son fils Christian Friedrich III Voss, à qui il cède son fonds en 1791 (Source : BnF)
