B. L. GILBERT COVSIN DIT COGNATVS, natif de Nozeret en la Franche conté de Bourgogne, grand Theologien, poëte, historien, orateur & philosophe. Il a escrit non seulement en Latin, mais aussi en François plusieurs tresdoctes livres, sçavoir est la Tragedie de l'homme affligé. Deux oraisons de la nativité & de la mort de Jesus Christ, le tout escrit premierement en Latin par ledit cousin & depuis traduit en François par luy mesmes. Il florissoit l'an 1560 âgé de 55. ans.
