Manuscript 240 contains part of Pantheologia, a theological dictionary by Saint Rainerius (c. 1348/51). The dictionary is made up of terms from the Thomistic Philosophy, in alphabetical order. Manuscript 240 contains letters P to Z. The work was copied by Willelmus de Predio with the help of Per(egrinus) of Leyns, who also helped with the table of contents, introductions and indices. Leyns copied the first catern of manuscript 238, which was added later. This first part contains distinctiones and an overview of the autorities for the letter P. Predio copied the rest of the text which contains the letters Q to Z followed by an overview of distinctions and cited authorities. Willelmus worked on it from 1457 to 1459. The manuscript was sold to the Henricus Keddekin, the abbot of Ter Doest Abbey, in 1482. The document contains decorated initials. Each new book starts with a large initial with decorations around its borders. [Summary by Sarah Vanroye]

Achteraan de tekst ontbreken twee folio's. Vermoedelijk stond op één van deze verdwenen folio's een vermelding van de aankoop door abt Keddekin (Cfr. Mss. 239, 240) - gest. 1492 (acheteur) (Source : Mmmonk)
