L'auteur eut pour maître Yaḥyā ibn Naǧāḥ al-Yūsūfī qui tenait le texte d'Ibrāhīm ibn Muḥammad ibn Nabhān al-Ġanawī al-Raqqī Abū Isḥāq, la silsila remonte à ʿAbd al-Raḥīm ibn Muḥammad ibn Ismāʿīl ibn Nubāta.
