Le f. 1 est un acte dressé par l'official de Limoges entre « Petronilla de Montilio, filia Geraldi condam de Montilho, majore duodecim annorum... et cum licentia Johannis Caterandi sponsi futuri sui » et « religioso viro domino Bozone priore de Vercilhaco ut privata persona... », daté du Jeudi saint 1455 [3 avril].
Les deux premiers cahiers étaient à l’origine utilisés comme gardes du manuscrit et reliés tête-bêche en début (f. 10-13) et à la fin (f. 2-9) du manuscrit. À la fin du XIXe siècle, le manuscrit a été remis en ordre et folioté par Léopold Delisle (cf. Catalogue général des manuscrits latins, t. VII, Paris, 1988, p. 66). Sur le f. 1v, pièce en papier collée avec mention du contenu du ms. Latin 3785 (Saint-Martial CXIX).
