Il s'agit probablement d'une copie de la traduction faite à Ispahan en 1621 par Pietro Della Valle à l'usage des Carmes [cf. la Praefatio ad lectorem figurant aux f. 1-3v du ms. Supplément persan 1174 : « Hunc librum ex Persieo idiomate fideliter (...) in latinum vertere contendi versumque Spahanensi Conventui Jesus Mariae Carmelitarum discalceatorum dico, ut religiosis nostris ibidem commorantibus ac frequentissime cum Muhhammadanis de rebus fidei sermonem habentibus, cognitis imposturae fundamentis, facilius sit mendaciorum detegere (...) »].
Incipit :
« In nomine Dei miseratoris. Liber (...) rerum. Laus Deo domino seculorum, idest utriusque seculi, praesentis, et futuri (...) ».
Fin :
« (...) Secunda Terra. Tertia Sol. Quarta Ignis. Quinta ».
